Why Event Lighting Matters
Most venues are lit for cleaning, not celebrating. Coloured light from low angles adds depth and mood, and marks the moments in the evening.
Uplighting: Colour on the Walls
Lights on the floor wash walls, columns or curtains with colour. Our six pixel bars do solid colours or moving effects, and can stand upright along an aisle or entrance. Soft tones suit ceremonies and dinners; brighter colours suit the dance floor.
Moving Heads: Patterns on the Ceiling
Moving heads pan, tilt and change their beam on cue. Ours project rotating gobo patterns (a gobo is a stencil inside the light) onto ceilings and walls.
Event Lighting for Weddings
Add all eight lights to wedding PA hire for $300: pixel bars along the aisle for the ceremony, uplighting at the reception, and moving patterns for the first dance.
Event Lighting for Gala Nights
The Gala Night package includes the lighting, for up to 100 seated guests, at $3,000.
Tips for Great Event Lighting
Choose a colour palette early, to match the flowers, theme or brand.
Light, flat surfaces show gobos best.
Ask the venue to dim its house lights.
